Cast Member: Jade Green

JadeName: Jade Green

Role: Cast Secretary. Captain Clean-Up. I’m a member of the security team, diagnosis but I also perform as Trixie (my favorite role) and Crim (usually as “Lady Crim”).

When did you first see Rocky Horror at a theater? I had my RHPS cherry popped on a Halloween in the late ’90s, physician at the famed Pink Invaders’ Crossroads Cinema. I’d seen it on TV and VHS so many times, and I was a card-carrying member of the national fan club—but seeing it live elevated my love of the film to a whole new level.

When and why did you join Help Me Mommy? I joined Help Me Mommy in 2010, but took a leave of absence after breaking my thumb (I still have a piece of bone floating around in my hand, because that was a preferable alternative to surgery). I worked with a start-up cast in Illinois for awhile, but came home to Help Me Mommy at the end of September 2013.

Favorite Rocky Horror memory? Selling survival kits in 2010, back when I was part of the Crew and sometimes performing as Trixie, when I saw a guy come in who looked like someone I’d had a crush on years prior in a game of Shadowrun. He was, indeed, the same guy—we got married 16 months later (and, eight months after that, performed in RHPS together for the first time).

Likes: Rocky Horror Picture Show, Repo! The Genetic Opera, The Room, gaming (I’m even in a radio show on the subject), zombies (I’m an expert!), Hunter S. Thompson and Gonzo Journalism, guerrilla photography, and Doctor Who.

Dislikes: anyone who chooses fullscreen over widescreen when selecting a DVD, Diet Pepsi, the color orange, manual transmissions, Apple products, and celebrities who blame all their problems on their fame and money

ANYTHING ELSE? I’m really into photography, and I never leave my house without both CPR equipment and rubber gloves.
